zeer
I decided to design a product that is traditional, innovative and related to the eastern tradition at the same time, I took inspiration from the “zeer” food pot and its traditional technology.
I started to make a lot of sketches to study the shapes and the zeer product. Then I decided to work with two simple shapes, rectangle and ball.
I choose the ball because this shape gives it the possibility to move as easy as possible in many different directions, the rectangle is for the consumer to understand where the air flow comes from.
I tried many combinations between the shapes until i chose the right combination in a way that its simple and good looking.
Stool
In this project I choose to mix between wood and other materials, after research and a lot of prototypes i decided to deal with aluminium and wood casting in a way that allows the wood to integrate with the aluminium.
Pargo
We had a market at bezalel, in this project we had to do it in couples. Our project was key hanger that is build from two parts, wooden plate to be glued on the wall and a 3D printed component shaped like a car. Both of the components connect together by under cut technique.
The project was to make a connector, I designed a connector made out of wood on lathe. I used maple and american nut wood that's because they both share the same strength and density.
I wanted to design a swimming suit for kids that saves their life from drowning using detectors and automatically inflates balloon inside the suit.
The detectors collects data about the body and recognizes if the kid is drowning, it inflates the balloon in milliseconds and saves the body.
In This studio course we had to design a seat for two people. I chose to make seat from my childhood memories. I made a swing and connected to it two seats in standing position based on trust between two people.
